Convert Into is operated by Outwave Technologies (“Convert·Into”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Quebec, Canada. In these terms, “you” means the individual or organisation using the service. If you are agreeing on behalf of a firm, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using Convert·Into, creating an account, or uploading a file for conversion, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree, you must not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time as described in the “Changes” section below.
2. The service
Convert·Into converts PDF bank statements and similar financial documents into structured formats such as XLSX, CSV and QBO/OFX. The service extracts transaction data and performs a running-balance reconciliation to help you verify the result.
We may add, change or remove features, and we may impose usage limits, at any time. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Accounts & eligibility
Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Convert·Into. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and only with documents you own or are authorised to process. You must not:
- Upload files you do not have the right to process, or that contain another party’s data without a lawful basis.
- Attempt to breach, probe or circumvent the security of the service, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Use the service to build a competing product, or scrape, resell or redistribute it without our written permission.
- Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful.
5. Your files & content
You retain all rights to the files you upload and the data we return to you. We claim no ownership of your content.
You grant us a limited licence to process your files solely to provide the service to you: for example, to extract, reconcile and format the data, and to return the output. We do not sell your data or use your files to train models.
Uploaded files and their outputs are encrypted and deleted whenever you choose to remove them. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
6. Plans, billing & refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Fees, page allowances and plan features are described at the point of purchase and may change with notice for future billing periods.
You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds except where required by law. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
If a conversion fails to meet the accuracy we describe, contact support; we will re-process it or, where appropriate, credit the affected pages.
7. Accuracy & no professional advice
We work hard to extract and reconcile data accurately, but conversion is not guaranteed to be perfect, particularly for scanned or low-quality documents. You are responsible for reviewing every output before relying on it.
Convert·Into does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. The service is a tool; decisions made using its output remain your responsibility.
8. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, text and trademarks, is owned by Convert·Into or its licensors and is protected by law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you here, we reserve all rights.
We welcome feedback. If you send us suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use them without obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
The service relies on sub-processors and integrations (for example, cloud infrastructure and payment providers). Your use of those integrations may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Convert·Into will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Convert·Into harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users.
On termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability, will survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by email or an in-app notice. Changes take effect when posted unless stated otherwise, and your continued use means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and the courts of Quebec have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
